Russia's Evraz says unaware of tycoon Kolomoisky's ownership
MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- U.K.-based steel and mining giant Evraz, which operates mainly in Russia, is unaware of Ukrainian tycoon Igor Kolomoisky owning any shares in the company, a representative for Evraz told PRIME Wednesday.
“The register of Evraz Plc’s shareholders does not include Kolomoisky. We are unaware of him having any shares in the Evraz group of companies,” the representative said.
Daily Izvestiya reported that Russian prosecutors and the Investigative Committee plan to check whether Kolomoisky owns shares in Evraz, and will seize them if it finds any.
Previously, Crimea, which joined Russia in March 2014, nationalized all Kolomoisky’s Crimean property for financing the military in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
